Mrs. Clarice Mae Evans, 76, of Maysville, died Jan. 24, at the Grant County Nursing Home, Petersburg. Born July 11, 1927, in Klines Gap, she was the daughter of the late Otis Phares and Fannie (Kisamore) Phares. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Glenn K. "Bud" Evans, Feb. 7, 2002; four brothers, Carl Phares, Boyd Phares, Dawes Phares and James Phares; and three sisters, infant Glossie Phares, Macie Kile and Sylvia Keplinger. Mrs. Helen Juanita Harris, 88, of New Creek, died Jan. 24, at Grant Memorial Hospital, Petersburg. Born Sept. 10, 1915, at Streby, she was the daughter of the late Edgar and Pearl (Rexroad) Burgess. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Lee Harris, Aug. 27, 1979; two brothers, Leon Burgess and Haven Burgess; one sister, Maxine Rotruck; and one granddaughter, Carol Woods. Raymond Butler "Buck" Harr, 83, of Moorefield, died Jan. 24, at his residence. Born Jan. 25, 1920, in Canaan Valley, he was the son of the late Frank and Caroline (Kesner) Harr. Vicent F. Ludvik, 72, of Clifton, N.J., died Jan. 9, at Passaic Beth Israel Regional Medical Center. Born in Garfield, N.J., he resided in Clifton for the past 46 years. He was preceded in death by one brother, Frank Ludvik Jr.; and one sister, Doroty Koch. Mr. Ludvik was employed by Electrical Equipment & Repair in Paterson as a truck driver for 31 years before his retirement in 1996. Mrs. Effie Ann (Moyers) Wolford, 95, of Petersburg, died May 9, 2004, at Grant County Nursing Home, Petersburg, where she had been a resident since December 1998. Born Aug. 24, 1908, Cabins, she was the daughter of the late Alfred Vernon and Laura (Goldizen) Moyers and the granddaughter of the late Phylix Alfred and Sarah Jane (Riggleman) Moyers and John Christopher and Ann (Riggleman) Goldizen. She was also preceded in death by two brothers and nine sisters. She is survived by five children; three sons and their wives, Byron Glenn and Eunice Wolford of Richmond, Va., Gene Vernon and Johnnie Wolford of Cleveland, Tenn. and James Braddock and Pat Wolford of Shacklefords, Va.; two daughters and their husbands, Atha Joann and Braxton Dale of Franklin, N.C. and Mary Grace and Tom Adkins of Suffolk, Va.; two sisters, Orpha Naomi Staffer of Petersburg and Angie Susan Hatcher of Darlington, Pa.; one brother, Lonnie Donald Moyers of Baker; 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and many great - nieces and nephews, great-great nieces, and nephews and other relatives. Melvin Dillon Alt, 89, of Catonsville, Md., died Monday, May 10, at his residence. Born March 23, 1915, at Branch, he was the son of the late George Edward Alt and Emma (Shreve) Alt. Chester W. Marsh, 87, of Westernport, Md., died May 10, at Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser. Born May 12, 1916, in Orange County, Va., he was the son of the late Lonnie Marsh Sr. and Hester (Manning) Marsh. He was also preceded in death by one son, Robert Marsh, and four brothers. Mr. Marsh was an All-State All Star for Bruce High School and a baseball player in his youth. He was a member of the Church of the Brethren in Westernport and was active in church activities. He retired from Mead-Westvaco in 1977 with 43 years of service. He worked in the finishing and cutter rooms and also worked in the swap cup department. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy (Keplinger) Marsh, formerly of Maysville; one daughter, Sondra Kay Mroz of San Diego; two brothers, Elmer Marsh of Lonaconing, Md. and Clifton Marsh of Westernport; four grandchildren, Jeffrey Marsh, Sean Marsh, Tonya Marsh and Melissa Mendoza; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Hiser, Stephens City, Va.; 10 grandchildren, Crista Fawls, Tara Diel, Aden Wertz, Robbie Wertz, Bonnie Shinn, Kelly Hiser, Kenny Hiser, Jesse Recinos, Claire Recinos and Sam Recinos and three great-grandchildren, Dominic Fawls, Justin Fawls and Erin Fawls; one brother, Roy F.
